“ Porton Di Nos Ilha is unique gem on Brockton’s South Main Street. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the ambiance. It’s almost an immersive experience. It’s like your sitting in a courtyard looking out beyond the village to the ocean. The walls are not just painted but there’s texture, a feeling of realness to it all. This comes as no surprise, as the gentlemen who created it all is a Disney artist and painter. It is an experience you will enjoy. Most importantly, the food is fantastic and the service was attentive. I order the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the grilled tuna which she loved. The flavors are an eclectic blend of Caribbean, American and Portuguese. It will satisfy a wide range of palates. I give Porton Di Nos Ilha my highest recommendation. I will return soon with friends. ”

“ I had an incredible experience at Porton di Nôs Ilha, a gem in Brockton that offers an authentic taste of Cape Verdean cuisine and culture. The owner personally invited me, which made the evening even more special. The restaurant’s ambiance is truly captivating. The interior is beautifully designed with colorful mood lighting and stunning artwork that gives us a snippet of Cape Verdean history and landscapes. A vision of the owner. The three-dimensional murals on the façade, created by local artist shows us the unique scenes from Cidade Velha. I ordered the grilled tuna steak, and it was absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful, served with a selection of fresh vegetables (Kumida sta sabi!) What truly sets Porton di Nôs Ilha apart is the warmth and passion of its owner, Paulo Semedo (and his wife Rosangela Tavares). They’ve created more than just a restaurant; it’s a cultural experience. Paulo came and spent a lot of time with us during the dining experience. ”

“ Great place. My waitress Ira from SV was great. Everyone was nice. I was there for my bday celebration and everyone sang happy bday to me. They give champagne as a bday gift. I loved the beautiful artfull terra terra place. I wish the owner all the best ”

They offer meal prepping services as well).everything was amazing, my food was ready on time even though I ordered 12 servings. When I arrived the reception was great, the service and atmosphere was very welcoming. I got my food and the aroma was amazing. The food was delicious and I enjoyed every bite. “ I now realize the meaning of the saying “A treasure in your backyard.” Literally, this is the case for my wife and me. For about a year and a half, we lived only one block away, and drove by this restaurant all the time, most times we would remind each other that when we will have time, we would be sure to check out this restaurant. From the outside, with creative imagination, we were sure the inside would be breathtaking. Today, November 30, 2024, would be our fortunate opportunity and pleasure to realize the treasure right in our backyard. At another event, earlier, we met the owner, Paulo, who invited us to his restaurant to try what he promised would be the finest food, in an atmosphere that would be breathtaking. He was absolutely 100% correct, and on point. The food was very reasonably priced, the service was intimately friendly and personable. We learned a valuable lesson today- you don’t have to travel across the state or out of the country to experience a treasure of fine dining, you should know that it is in your backyard.
